State Attorney General’s Office Provides Estimated Cost Savings of $221,667
Scenario
A hosting company referred a state’s Attorney General’s office to Lexitas for a review which we completed in a new review platform. The client needed us to review 80,000 documents using the new platform’s Continuous Active Learning (CAL) TAR model.
Challenge
The client’s regular process for document review was using linear review, but the client found this to be too onerous and resource wasting. The new platform’s Continuous Active Learning (CAL) TAR model just finished its Beta testing and Lexitas was the first to use this model. We were unsure how the review would kickoff given we were the inaugural users.
Solution
Lexitas trained on the new system and learned its ends and outs from a user and manager standpoint. The extensive training undertook by Lexitas led to a significant decrease in document population. The new approach saved time and resources compared to the client’s previous linear review process.
Outcome
Following Lexitas’ completion of the document review project, the state followed up with another unrelated document review project letting us know they were happy with our work previously and wanted to use us again. In the end, the client’s saved an estimated 70.77%, or $221,667, compared to using an outside counsel for the review.
