Ellen Roper is a graduate of Brandeis University, University of Missouri, Hastings College, National Judicial College and the Missouri Trial Judges College. Ellen is a member of the Association of Missouri Mediators. Roper has been a circuit judge for 28 years and a probate judge for 3 years. She has also served as a special Judge on Missouri Supreme Court & Missouri Court of Appeals Western District, on the Faculty of the National Judicial College, a Missouri Assistant Attorney General and Executive Director and Counsel of the Missouri Commission on Human Rights. She is involved in her community as a member of Columbia South Rotary having served as President and Board member. She was a past board member of the Assistance League of Mid-Missouri, a past president and board member of the Missouri Symphony Society, and she currently serves as a board member of the Columbia Police Foundation.
